Etgar Keret came to our school on December
19th 2004.
He started the lecture reading us his first story "Pipes" and told us
about his childhood and how he started to write it and the first one who read
it was his older brother while he was walking the dog. He said that his books
are like letters of complaints because he writes everything he's thinking
without anyone criticizing him. He said that he's writes things that he does
in the story and in real life he wouldn't do, like to say his opinion about
people.
We thought that Etgar would be a tall young man
wearing suit and a big black bag like a business man, but actually Etgar came wearing normal clothes, a side bag, not tall
at all… a simple man. He asked him our questions and he answered
honestly each one of them.
The lecture went on for an hour and a half, almost 2 hours...
We enjoyed this lecture and we got answers to all our questions.
Etgar Keret is a great guy and a wonderful writer.
