Harry Potter. Did you ever even imagine that a normal 11-year-old boy who lived with horrible people who not even gave him enough food to eat would turn into this really handsome, popular boy who would have magical capabilities. Popular is an understatement everyone in this magical world knew who he was! This boy has adventures all the time with his friends - Ron & Hermione, who really like Harry. His parents, James and Lili Potter, were killed by Voldemort, while trying to save and protect him.

Ron Weasley
One of Harry Potter's best friend. You ask yourself whom? He has been friends with Harry from the starting of their first year. Ron has five brothers (Fred & George - twins, Percy, Charlie and Bill) and one sister (Ginny who is the youngest). In the 4th book he was furious with Harry when he told him he hadn't put his name into the goblet of fire. He had become a little obstinate as Harry was the only one who was looked upon and getting all the attention. Harry and Ron have been through happiness, sorrows and Adventures. Of course we hope for many more.

Hermione Granger
A very Bossy type of girl who knows just about everything there is to know. The studious type of girl who has nothing else to do except, well... STUDY! Hermoine is a 12-year-old girl who never expected to be told she was a witch and was exited to start at Hogwarts. Her Muggle parents were very accepting of this! When she bought the schoolbooks she was so interested that she decided to read them all! At the station Hermione wasn't slow to display her female complexity and self-awareness to the boys Ron & Harry. She became friends with Harry in the First term also but after a very hard time as no one would be friends with her. She was rumored to be disgusting and not in fashion!
Hermione believes Elves should have freedom! That's why in the 4th book she does her best to show the Elves they've got rights too.
Description: Thin, brown straight hair, usually carrying schoolbooks and long teeth (which were shortened).
Hates: Reeta Skeeter, Draco Malfoy.
Crush: Viktor Krum.
Best Friends: Ron & Harry.
Albus Dumbledore
This person is what you call a wizard. His brain is faster than lighting and he is the only person whom Voldemort is scared of. He is the Headmaster of Hogwarts. While he was in school, he used to be a teacher and Tom Riddle A.K.A used to be his student. Tom Riddle had framed Hagrid for something he did not do. Dumbledore knew Hagrid had not done the deed and suspected Riddle ever since. He knew Tom Riddle was a very bright boy but very devilish too.... Then when he became Headmaster of Hogwarts, he got Hagrid back to teach and live on the Hogwarts Grounds in a small little hut. Professor Dumbledore encountered Harry several times after he had shown his heroism.
He is a very compassionate person, who trusts people and would accept anyone at Hogwarts, as long as they've got the talent.
Description: Long white hair and a white beard, old and pale.
Hates: Lord Voldemort.
Best Friends: Nicholas Flamel.
Rubeus Hagrid
Half giant with a heart of gold! He cannot stand anyone insulting or talking rubbish of Albus Dumbledore. When he was young he got expelled from school. Tom Riddle framed him and Hagrid has never told any of the students why or how he was expelled. He was taken to Azkaban once, where Dementors guard the prisoners and take away all the happiness... When everybody found out he was a half-giant, another teacher replaced him, and he had to deal with all the prejudiced wizards who hadn't liked the idea a half-giant teaching their kids to work with dangerous creatures.
Description: HUGE, HUGE, HUGE, with a big black beard.
Hates: People who insult Albus Dumbledore, Voldemort, Reeta Skeeter.
Crush: Madam Maxine.
Best Friends: Harry, Ron, Hermione & Dumbledore.
Minerva Mcgonagall
She is the Transfiguration teacher and the headmaster of the Gryffindor House. She is also a registered Animagus. Very animagus form is a "TABBY" cat. Professor McGonagall is very stern and strict looking teacher.
Description: Has glasses, a little tall and stern looking.
Hates: Voldemort.
Friends: Albus Dumbledore.
Severus Snape
A very hard-heartened person. He dislikes Harry Potter and the Gryffindors very much, because when he was in school, Harry's father (James Potter) and his friends had tried to play a trick on him. If the trick had succeeded, Snape would have been no more, but James Potter went to save Snape and risked his own life for his. Snape owed his life for Harry's father, and promised that he would protect Harry at any cost, even though he hated him. While he was young he was oily-haired boy. He used to be a Death Eater, but Dumbledore drew him back to the good side and Snape became a spy for him on the dark side.
Description: Always in black suits, has a stern glance.
Hates: Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville and all the Gryffindors.
Friends: Not sure even if he has any :-).
Sirius Black
Convicted mass murder Sirius Black was supposedly Voldemort's right-hand man, and also played a crucial role in the deaths of Lily and James Potter. In the 3rd book though, he proves that it was actually Peter Pettigrew who committed the mass murder, and betrayed the Potters. Sirius was James's best friend, best man at his wedding and godfather to Harry. As he says, succeeding to prove his innocence in a shack in Hogsmeade, "I would have died before I betrayed Lily and James."
Description: Handsome, a little shabby.
Hates: Lord Voldemort, Peter Pettigrew.

Lord Voldemort
His real name is Tom Riddle and he was brought up by his mother. After his father got to know his mother was a witch, he left her with no money or anything. Tom Riddle made up his mind he would make his father pay for making his mother suffer. So, when he became powerful and a little older, he went to his father's place and killed his all family by a spell! You-know-who, the Dark Lord, tried to take over the world. James Potter was a powerful wizard and rumored to be the heir of gryffindor. Voldemort knew he must kill him. Potter's old friend from school, Peter Pettigrew (known in the 4th book as Wormtail), revealed their hiding place to Voldemort when Sirius made Peter the secret keeper, thinking Voldemort would come to him and never suspect such a small little-trembling Peter to be the Kepper. But he turned out wrong! Voldemort went to the Potter's and killed Harry's parents. However, in her last act, Lily Potter, managed to protect Harry, and the Dark. In any case, his lightning bolt-shaped scar still serves as a reminder.

Draco Malfoy
Harry's archrival in school, belongs to the slytherin house. Act very cool near Professor Snape as Snape fancies Slytherins. He loves getting "Potter" into trouble and his aim is really to expel him, as Harry in the first year didn't become friends with him. The Malfoys, with Lucius Malfoy being in with the Ministry, and having a lavish manor, are everything Harry and his friends are not. It is even rumored that the Malfoy's were in Voldemort's inner circle before he was destroyed....
Description: Small, blond hair, always followed by Crabbe & Goyle.
Hates: Harry, Ron & Hermione.
Best Friends: Crabbe & Goyle.
Alastor Moody (Mad-Eye)
Position at Hogwarts: Defense Against the Dark Arts professor.
Description: He has one normal eye and one magical eye of vivid blue. The magical eye can see through solid objects and invisible things.
More Information: Mad-Eye is possibly the best auror the ministry ever had. He is extremely paranoid and is a friend of Arthur Weasley and Dumbledore.
Cornelius Fudge
Head of the Ministry of Magic. Seem to be a kindly figure and a little pompous, but revealed in the 4th book as a short, angry, refusing and point-black wizard.
Barty Crouch
An old man with a very dismal past. He was about to become the head of the ministry when he found out his son, also called Barty Crouch, was a supporter of Voldemort. Crouch was intensely eager to fight the dark side, and he sent his on son to Azkaban. Crouch's son died and his wife died too, leaving him alone and devastated. So Cornelius Fudge got the top job as the Minister of Magic, and he was shunted sideways into the Department of International Magical Co-operation.
Ludo Bagman
Was the Head of Magical Games and Sports at the ministry of magic. In his more recent years, he was accused of being a Death Eater. He also was the best Beater (at Quidditch) for England. Bagman helped Harry with the tournament because he bet he'd win it, and really needed the money to pay for other people he bet with on the Quidditch World Cup's winners.
Rita Skeeter
The Daily Prophet slanderer reporter. She carries her Quick-Quotes Quill and her crocodile bag all the time. She would distort every word you say unless it fitted for her article and the impression she wanted to make. Hermione suffered from her sarcastic articles, but in the end she found out Rita's method of getting all the latest gossips and stopped her once and for all.
Dobby
Used to be the Malfoys' house-elf until Harry released him. Ever since, Dobby was very grateful towards Harry, and helped with anything he could. In book four, Dobby works for Dumbledore in Hogwarts' kitchen with all the elves, Winky among them.
Winky
Used to be Crouch's house-elf until he dismissed her. She was greatly dispirited as she came to work at Hogwarts with Dobby. Her master was very important to her, for she had taken care of him accompanied him. Winky believes that elves must keep their masters' secrets and never tell them to anyone. When Hermione tried to prevail on Winky, she didn't listen and eluded her.
